Netflix has announced that it’s
now available in 130 new
countries, including Nigeria.
Before today, Netflix was being
enjoyed in just 60 countries.
Now it’s in almost every
country on earth.
The announcement came during
the opening keynote at the 2016
Consumer Electronics Show in
Vegas. According to Harrison
Weber of Venturebeat, Netflix’s
massive expansion serves as a
counter to its recent slow
growth in the U.S.
Some of the other countries that
will be able to access Netflix
include Singapore, South Korea,
Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and
India.
Netflix’s entry into the Nigerian
market is already putting
pressure on local ISPs to
innovate.
Etisalat has already introduced
the Netflix and Chill Data
bundle that allows 2 hours
streaming from the Video
streaming portal for N400.
The video bundle lets you buy
two hours of “unlimited
internet access” to watch video
for N400.
